What is Mama's Cook Book?
Mama’s cookbook is
recipe management software. This project
includes three parts, Pocket PC version
(currently release), Windows version, and
Web version. All three different versions
are capable to synchronize data within each
platform. The Pocket PC version is called
PocketChef, Windows version is called
WinChef and Web version is called WebChef.
- PocketChef
– mainly
supports on Windows Mobile 2002 – 2003 and
the packages release have support for
processors, includes MIPS, ARM, SH3 and
X86. PocketChef is using XML-based for
storage mechanisms, therefore users do not
require additional software to run the
application. The application is easily to
use and it organizes recipes into
different cookbooks. Users are capable to
create new, update existed and delete
cookbook or recipe. The application is
very intuitive and user-friendly.
Introduction of the CPUs
-
MIPS (http://www.mips.com/)- Since their spin-off from SGI in
1998, MIPS Technologies has focused
completely on the embedded processor market.
MIPS proven track record of delivering
high-performance processors is a result of
addressing many issues key to success in the
embedded processor marketplace. MIPS has
standardized on two families of the MIPS
architecture: MIPS32™ (32 bit family) and
MIPS64™ (64 bit family). This is the only
architecture to provide 64 bit solutions
that offer significant performance
advantages in certain application spaces,
such as networking.
-
ARM (http://www.arm.com/)
- ARM is the industry's leading provider of
32-bit embedded RISC microprocessors with
almost 75% of the market*. ARM offers a wide
range of processor cores based on a common
architecture and delivering high performance
together with low power consumption and
system cost.
